How Foma works

Foma v1 · Solana execution

Foma watches every trade Fomo's traders make and mirrors the ones you choose into your own wallet, under rules you set per trader.

1.The signal

Foma indexes the Fomo trade feed: every buy and sell with the trader, token, chain, size and realized PnL. The leaderboard ranks traders by realized PnL across the window you pick, from trades Foma has indexed.

Feed latency is shown live in the header. On a keyed feed it is seconds; the copy engine reacts the moment an event lands.

2.Your Foma wallet

  • Sign in with any Solana wallet. Foma creates a dedicated trading wallet for you on first sign-in.
  • Fund it with SOL. Copies buy from that balance and sells land back in it.
  • Withdraw everything to the wallet you signed in with in one click, or export the private key at any time.
  • Pausing a copy stops new trades immediately. Open positions stay in the wallet.

3.Rules per copy

  • Size. A fixed dollar amount per buy, or a percentage of the trader's own size, always capped by a max per trade.
  • Spending cap. Total dollars this copy may deploy. When it is reached, buys are skipped and logged.
  • Buy filter. Skip the trader's small buys — anything under the size you set is ignored.
  • Buys per token. Stop a copy from averaging into the same coin more than you allow.
  • Take profit / stop loss. Checked every 20 seconds against live Jupiter prices; the whole position exits when either is hit.

4.When the trader sells

When the trader you copy sells, Foma sells for you. Choose how:

  • Same %. Sell the same share of your position that they sold of theirs. When the feed does not carry their remaining size, it is treated as a full exit.
  • Fixed. Sell a fixed dollar amount per exit.
  • All. Exit the whole position on their first sell.
  • Hold. Ignore their sells and manage exits with take profit and stop loss.

5.Execution

Every copy is routed through Jupiter for the best price across Solana venues — bonding curves and AMMs alike — with your slippage setting. Each decision the engine makes, filled or skipped, appears in your activity log with the reason.

Trades on Base, BSC and Robinhood Chain are tracked on the leaderboard and logged on your copies; execution on those chains is next.

6.Risk

Copying a trader copies their losses as well as their wins, at a worse price than theirs. Past PnL says nothing certain about the next trade. Only fund your Foma wallet with what you can afford to lose.
